with Jessica Do Tully, Palmpress and Hugh Kim, Founder, Hugh Inc.

Perfect for travellers and those constantly on-the-go, join this discussion and demo about hand-brewing coffee and espresso. Presented by Palmpress and Leverpresso, two uniquely compact brewers designed for delicious coffee in and out of home.

with Amaris Guttierez-Ray, Women in Coffee Project

The Women in Coffee Project was founded in 2018 by a small group of folks working for Joe Coffee Company. It started with an idea for a single event and then expanded out of a desire for effective and meaningful opportunities for people in the coffee community to listen together and act together. Learn all about their mission at The New York Coffee Festival.

11.30am | The Sustainability Panel: Championing Reuse
with Jamila Williams, Keep Cup (moderator), Zeke Freeman, Bee Raw, Renne Bagdadi, E-Coffee Cup and Bill Levey, Naeco

Why are disposable cups still being used? Do loan schemes actually solve the reduce and reuse problem, and if so how? Keep Cup's Development Manager, Jamila Williams will moderate this important conversation.

with Ryan Bailey and Maya Albert, NoMad

NoMad's wine director, Ryan Bailey will walk you through how to apply deductive blind tasting techniques utilized traditionally for wine towards enhancing your approach to coffee. Plus, compare similarities in both the taste and aromatics of coffee and wine to establish a further understanding of the many details that create such complex beverages.

2.45pm | ​The Water Crisis in Coffee-Growing Communities
with Rebecca Hodgson, Project Waterfall and Tim Stratton, charity: water
The majority of the communities facing the water crisis are those that grow our coffee. Come and learn about the impact of the water crisis and what can be done about it.

3.45pm | Basics of Cupping 101
with Noah Goodman, Gruppo Cimbali

Learn how to set up a cupping, what to look for when tasting coffees and how to evaluate them with CQI Certified Arabica Q-Grader, Noah Goodman. Walk away with an understanding about why we cup and how to do it yourself. Your friends will be so impressed!

When you’re out enjoying a nice, hot cup of coffee, your may not think about the best, most environmentally friendly way to dispose of it when you’re done. But there are right and wrong ways to handle this kind of paper trash. In this session, learn the difference between recyclable and compostable, and how to responsibly discard that empty paper cup.

12.30pm | Re-Defining Sustainability: Quality of Life vs. Quality of Coffee
with Nani Ferreira-Mathews, Casey McKeel and Holly Kent-Payne,

Get to know the difference between immersion and filtered coffee. How does the filter medium work? How does the filter, grind, temperature affect the cup attributes? This is the perfect session for those looking to step-up their at-home coffee game.

2.00pm | Introduction to Vietnamese Coffee & the Phin Brewing Method

Fact: Vietnam is the world's second-largest producer of coffee. What misconceptions about Vietnamese coffee, and robusta in general, have kept it from earning acclaim?
